Carl's Jr's in Town!

Carl's Jr (媾仔)...*hmm~ not a very manly canto name huh~?* has landed on our puny island! MacShit (小丑王) is so gonna lose my biz (actually all along, I won't step into 小丑王 if I have a choice)!

I only knew about Carl's Jr 's landing last week when I watched the news report on fast food war in sg. Since then, I was so curious & interested to try it out. I'm so~ a sucker for new thingy!

Carl's Jr only setup 2 outlets in sg...to test water I guess. 1 around Raffles Place & the other in the all-new-renovated-super-maze Marina Sq! I must admit, I'm still totally lost when I step into the new M Sq...even though I'd been here a few times already...*old school marina kid...outdated lah~*

Last Sunday, Lambit, Tattoo Ben & I on Impulse, decided to munch Carl's Jr for dinner after China Sq Sunday Flea Mart. We went to the M Sq outlet 'coz Raffles Place outlet caters to office crowd on week days only.

Tadah! MacShit (小丑王) Killer!

Fwah! Long Q & the Burger Pixes are so mouth waterin'...

Though the Q is long, it moved fast...'coz...

...this is when the real waitin' game starts...*arrggh~hunger...muz taste flesh...*

Prices generally are higher than those of MacShit (小丑王), KenFuck (老坑雞) & Burger King (八卦王). Average price of S$7.00 per Burger, S$10.00 per Combo Meal, but they made up with

(1) Unlimited Drinks Refills! Coke! Coke! & mor...er...hellooo~ what do we have here...?

Real Ice Tea!!! Real Lemon!!! Unlike the FUCK-UP expensive syrup water @ 小丑王!!!

I had Ice Lemon Tea 1st, then Ice Lemon Coke for round 2, 3 & 4!!! *Wahahaha~ I'm such a water barrel~!*

(2) Best Onion Rings! Beat 八卦王 by a mile! 八卦王's Onion Rings used to be good...*haiz~*

Supreme Chilli Cheese Fries were not so great...too dry, too over fried.

(3) Big, Super Size Burger with Juicy Beef Patty & Fresh Veg! It's Big Mac x2 + Tasty x10!!! n'uff said! *Munch~*

Check out the juciy beef patty & onion & tomato...that's what I call a Hamburger! 小丑王 only serves Beef Jerky Burger...maybe 小丑王 should team up with 美珍香...

A meal @ Carl's Jr will leave your stomach with no rooms for other snacks & desserts. I'll suggest that you eat 1st & go shopping after that to help digestion. A movie right after eating Carl's Jr is a bad idea...baaaad~ idea~

People! Start your engines...again! Herbie is back! I caught the old Herbie movies on TV when I was a kid...can't remember nutz about them...but that doesn't matter because Herbie: Fully Loaded has nothing to do with them beside the O'Bug himself.

Maggie Peyton (Lindsay Lohan - Toin' Toin'~ *n'uff said~*), the new owner of Number 53 – the free-wheelin' Volkswagon bug with a mind of its own. Very conveniently, Maggie is the daughter of Ray Peyton Sr (Michael Keaton) - an over the edge & over protective Nascar race team Captain...who in the end needed someone to race for him...preferbly a Peyton.

This is a light & entertaining movie & that's it...well...not really "it" if you appreciate Lindsay LOO~han's on screen & 1 size too small T-shirt charisma.

Lindsay Lohan appeared to be a very plain girl next door, yet strong headed character. Hence her freckled face & simple wardrobe. Well, I'm not complaining.

The inter-relationship between the characters were so loose that everybody else beside Maggie & the Bug were just passersby. Her father, brother, competitors, best friend, squeeze were all not worth mentioning...

ILM did the visual EFX...*sigh~*...nothing impressive...I'd rather they omit the SFX & pay Lindsay Lohan to flash her...er...erm...nevermind...*hangover from Lindsay~*

Maybe it's just me...but most of the gags & jokes were kinda old school. I think I need a stronger dosage to tickle me. Then again, their targeted audience are kids. Having kids in mind, if you're a race car fan, don't expect too much.

Red Eye (PG)

Started off as a very pleasant working girl flick...Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams - I only know her from Mean Girls & Hot Chicks *hmm~ pretty much tell ye what kinda guy I am huh~?*) - A hotel manager that has high EQ, good at PR & Crisis Management. Befriended seatmate Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy - Scare Crow dude in Batman Begins ) on the night flight to Miami. Little does she know that she's the Red Button for an assassination plot.

75% of the movie was set in the claustrophobic cabin of a plane, which is good because it adds to the tension of this thriller, enhances the frustrations & helplessness of Lisa. There are lots of close-up shots displaying the leads' abilities to handle various emotions. Even though the real action only kicks in after 75% through the show, I don't find it draggy at all.

The most disappointing part for me is the supposedly climatic part of the movie...Being through so many of such chase around the house sequence, this is nothing new. As 1 of my friend said, its like Home Alone 2005. The brief action at the hotel during the assassination attempt turns out to be better than it...

As I've mentioned above...due to my choice of flicks...Rachel McAdams used to appear some what a Bimbo to me, but this movie opened up my eyes for her.

Cillian Murphy is creepy as hell! *shivers~* I can't remember the least bit of him in 28 Days Later ...He better secure a different & impressive role for his next act, or forever he'll be this creepy dude we know...

People in Travel & Hotel industries can relate to this movie better. Some of the situations are like so Deja Vu!

如果你o地係有聽慣絕情谷的話. 可能你會聽過這段老人家的故事...

係一個很忙碌的早上大概八點半左右, 一位大約捌拾幾歲的老人家就想係醫院找位醫生為他拆除傷愈了的線. 但係因為有突發意外, o的醫生就實在係太忙o勒, 無瑕去幫這老者.

依位老人家就一路等, 就一路睇錶. 當時, 有一位剛值班的女護士見到老人家好似好趕時間咁, 就埋去幫佢拆線o勒.

女護士一面拆線就一面同位老人家傾偈. 跟著就好奇的問道,

女護士: 係o勒, 老伯伯呀, 做乜咁趕時間呀?

老伯伯: 係呀, 唔該晒你呀護士小姐. 因為我約o左人九點啊.

女護士就更好奇o勒...捌拾幾歲o既老伯伯應該係唔使返工o架啦, 乜咁趕呢? 咁個老人家就話,

老伯伯: 係呀,係呀, 我要趕去老人療養院o個到陪我老婆食早餐啊.

女護士: 原來你太太入o左療養院呀? 冇乜事o勒嗎?

老伯伯: 冇, 帕金遜症o者. 乜o野都唔記得, 乜人都唔認得, 都一段日子喇.

女護士: 咁你都唔認得呀? 你係佢o既先生o黎o番?

老伯伯: 係呀,依五年都唔認得我喇. 我其實去唔去佢都唔知o架.

女護士: 喂, 咁老伯伯呀, 佢都唔認得你o勒, 咁你仲咁趕咁急住去做乜? 仲要朝朝早去?

咁位老人家就拍拍女護士隻手, 笑住說,

老伯伯: 嘿, 佢唔認得我o者, 但係我認得佢o丫o麻! 咁咪得囉!

說罷跟住就蹣跚地走o左o勒.

一個看似簡單的愛, 但係要做起上o黎就一點也不容易. 現下的快餐青年, 每樣o野都要速達. 剛入行就要有資深的待遇, 剛結識就要有轟轟烈烈的愛情故事. 經常嚮往鐵達尼裡的愛情故事. 老實講那只不過係兒戲罷了.

在死到臨頭, 要死係幾咁容易. 被蜜月期所沖昏了頭的di cuco加上凍壞o左個腦分分鐘以為自己好勁, 可以頂得順, 所以懶英咁讓個靚位俾肥溫...點知肥溫係汤豬凳...

如果佢o地兩個都冇事o既話. 咁佢o地會好開心咁過...o左...一個月...di cuco 就會身痕去叫雞, 然後幫隻雞畫肖像博食免費餐. 而肥溫就頂唔浦di cuco這件廢物兼淫蟲, 再加上冇錢, 就返外家另搵返個有錢o既嫁o左去...現實版動人嗎?

最近係餅奇他媽處讀到有關fuck buddy (扑友) 的短文. 以前o既聽起上o黎就好似好o的, 叫sex partner (性伴侶)...依家就...唉...我知好多人都有, 但我就做唔到...*唉~ 我out o勒~*

往往公公婆婆的故事唔係咁吸引係因為冇靚仔,靚女,靚車,靚衫,靚鞋,靚船,靚屋,靚景,靚鈔票,靚乜靚物...但係佢o地就係真在冇包裝.

說一年半載, 甚至三,五,七年的"我愛你"有乜難, 有乜咁大不了. 如果你可以三,五,七十年後仍然拖著你老伴的話, 我就話你勁o勒.

依篇文係用全繁體,加上廣東話o黎寫o既. 我知道好多人都唔識讀. 但係我就係明蝦佢o地o丫! 吹咩!

Janice 衛蘭 II

If you guyz have read my little intro on Janice 衛蘭. I must apologise...even though "Day & Night" is her debut album, she's not a new comer...

How could I have forgotten her pretty face?! I never forget a pretty face but for her case, I guess it's because she became prettier...gone with her baby fat perhaps.

The 1st time I saw her was in Designer, CRHK903 DJ, 1/2 of 軟硬天師, Father of 2 & Husband of 彭羚 (Cass Ling) - 林海峰 (Jan Lamb)'s 《林狗-十大傑青》 LamDog album in 2001. She was known as Vidal then as the Background Vocalist for tracks :
