Open Season (PG)

Rating:★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Animation
Boog (Martin Lawrence) & Eliot (Ashton Kutcher) = Marcus - domesticated & Mike - wild (Bad Boys) in "naturale"~! This is a fun nature ride~ not roller coaster, just a 4-wheel drive through the mountains with a ranger singin' "Born Free" into our ears...again~ *'nuff already~ we know we must protect the wilderness ok~*...

The 1st 3-quarter of the show was full of fun-filled laughters created by Boog & Eliot alone, they make a good team. But as more animals appear they sorta robbed them of their screen time with mediocre jokes...& also as the animals moved into the climatic showdown with the bad guys aka hunters aka humans aka us...the movie started to lose its steam...'coz the trailer gave away too much of the funny parts. Not much suprises~

If I were to choose a favorite 4 Legs vs 2 Legs *though most animals were on 2s in the flicks~* animation, I'll go for Over the Hedge anytime *Hammy Time~*! 'Coz each character is closely linked to their very own animal characteristics. A Hyperactive Speedy Squirrel like Hammy makes more sense than always Grouchy-William-Walace-Freedom-Fighter kinda Scottish Squirrel, McSquizzy.

Directors: Jill Culton, Roger Allers, Anthony Stacchi
Writers: Steve Bencich, Ron J. Friedman
Cast: Ashton Kutcher, Martin Lawrence, Debra Messing, Gary Sinise

2 stars all go to the dynamic odd duo, Boog & Eliot "ONLY"! & 1 for them poor Wabbits~

Casino Royale (PG)

Rating:★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Action & Adventure

Casino Royale 007 or should I call it James Bond Reboot? 'Coz the game table scenes are not any longer than the end credits.

New Bond (Daniel Craig), New Look (Blonde), New Style (Shoot 1st ask Qns later). I'm not a big Bond fan but I do love action flicks. My impressions for the few Bonds I know are not very deep.
Sean seemed like the Smart one, always thinking of ways outta sticky situations.
George is the Sad one.
Roger is the Calm one, so calm, it somehow slow him down...in every aspect
Timothy is the Unlucky one, got killed by his own Licence.
Pierce is the perfect Gentleman, so gentle, he will only negotiate with villians & not hurt'em.
Daniel is Cunning & Deadly, he looks like he can really kill someone.

This is about Bond's early years in MI6 as a "00". So the writers are free to retool him. Made him more agile, cunnin', deadly, humanly. Lots of chase scenes! *nope~ not car chase~ I'm so glad they got rid of it~!* A foot chase will get you all excited! Lots of neutralizin'! Lots of witty sarcasm! Lots of love...!? & lastly, lots of plots, felt like a 3-in-1 movie.

Like I wrote earlier, this is all new, so some of the old Bond thingies are gone...namely, all them cool gadgets from Q. Which made this film very much like any other action movies such as True Lies, Mr & Mrs Smith or Bourne Identity. But this may make it more appealing to non-Bond fans.

Director: Martin Campbell
Writers: Paul Haggis, Neal Purvis, Robert Wade
Cast: Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini, Caterina Murino, Simon Abkarian, Tobias Menzies, Ivana Milicevic, Clemens Schik, Ludger Pistor, Claudio Santamaria, Isaach de Bankole

1 star for Bond & M witty crossfires, 2 for the chase & 1 for a daring new begining.

Happy Feet (G)

Rating:★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Animation
No biggies this movie is~ you can call it "La Marche de l'empereur (March of the Penguins) - Le Musical".

Too realistic this movie is, in terms of both animation & script. Even though the penguins talk, sing & dance, it can't really invite you into the fantasy world of animations as most others could. At some point, it has gotten so real that the lines delivered by an elder conservative penguin is exactly the words I heard from a similar "prick" on TV talkshow recently.

Happy Feet is the title because the lead penguin Mumble has them. He tab dance when ever he feels happy...*Wy~a~Ow~nW~*... The Amigos are what we want! If it wasn't for funny man Robin Williams *plse~ it's Rob"IN" & not Rob"bie" ok~!?, the show can only last as an animated short film before audiences start walkin' out...

Things to lookout for
(To everybody) : Superb 3D Animation~!!!
(To Me) : What Gloria said to Mumble...

Director: George Miller
Writers: Warren Coleman, John Collee, George Miller, Judy Morris
Cast: Nicole Kidman, Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman, Brittany Murphy, Carlos Alazraqui, Denise Blasor, Khamani Griffin, Alyssa Shafer, Alyssa Smith, Magda Szubanski

1 star for Robin Williams, 1 for scoring new heights in 3D Animations & 1 for those few lines Gloria said...

Nesnesitelná lehkost bytí (The Unbearable Lightness of Being)

"Einmal ist Keinmal"("once is never", i.e., "what happened once might as well have never happened at all").

Therefore, each life is ultimately insignificant; every decision ultimately does not matter. Since decisions do not matter, they are "light": they do not tie us down. But at the same time, the insignificance of our decisions - our lives, or being - is unbearable.

- Milan Kundera in 1982
