Instead, I'm super glad with a Star Wars licensed product that has nothing to do with Toys at all! You can't play with it...technically..., no resale value & it melts in your mouth, not in your hand!

 

Yes! M&M Chocolates! And that's not all, the best part is - Because of the "Dark Side of the Force", they now have "Dark Chocolate M&Ms"! I luv dark chocolate! *yum~ I can see meself gettin' fatter than I already am...

Movie Ticket prices are going up! Low Birthrate crisis over! Piracy Sales hit all time High!

On March 30, 2005, the heads of Shaw Organisation, Eng Wah Organization and Golden Village met up in a private meeting to think of some "cock & bull" stories to sell to the public. Try to con their way into Increasing Movie Ticket Prices with a "just cause"!

In the press release on the same day, they mentioned that with effect from May 1, 2005, film-goers here have to pay more to watch a movie at their cinemas. These 3 cinema lines will increase weekday tickets by $0.50 and weekend prices by S$1. Which make our weekday tickets increase from $6.50 & $7.50 to $7.00 & $8.00, and weekend $8.50 to $9.50. This is what we get after helping them "be original, fight piracy"...kinda feel like I was bitten by the dogs that I fed.

Here's the part where they insulted our intelligence. There are 3 main reasons for the increase.

1. Raised GST
2. Increased Power Supply Bills
3. Credit & Charge Cards Service Charges

Now, I think that I can't argue about the GST issue, it's a fact...*but 2% of $8.50 is less than $0.20! Failed Maths huh~? As for the other two...*Hehheh~rubbing palms~*, I shall name reason 2 as "cock" & 3 as "bull"!

Following the day when cock was born, our Power Supply announced that we will be seeing a drop on our utilities bills. Hah!!! A big kick in their "cocks", I would say!

As for bull, it's a total "bull-shit"! Why should everybody bear the charges of card users!? On top of that, I'm already paying an extra fee of $0.50 to $1.00 when I purchase tickets by cards! Who the fuck are they tryin' to "cheat"!!??

Haven't these muthafarkers earned enough from their pop corns, nachos & drinks sales. A set of these junk food is more expensive than a ticket! Checkout the prices of these items elsewhere, and you do the maths!

Well, if anyone asked me, being a movie lover, this is a very bad news. But from a society point of view, "It's All Good Baby!". Why? Read on...

Our officials are currently desperate over the fall in birth rates. With the movie ticket price hikes, during their leisure, couples may reduced their frequency for movies at the theater. The best alternative will be to stay home & watch them on DVD/VCDs. As most sporean rooms are equipped with TV & players, they will enjoy it in their privacy. One thing leads to another, they'll be acting up an episode of "Animal Planet - Mating Season" & "BOOM!!!" *shot gun fired~* & *Tadah~* "BABIES"!!! Be it they're teenagers or underage, spore need babies!!!

Secondly, there should be a drop in crime rates such as robbing of ah-mahs, aunties or taxi drivers, as well as drug trafficking & gang fights! Once people choose to stay-in for home entertainments, they'll want all the latest movies. Where else beside "Pirated Disc Shop" can you find these selections. When demand increases, business increases, & more hands will be needed to help run all the "franchised outlets". These hands are the ones that will rob your ah-mah, sell drug to your son & have gang fights infront of your dad's foodstall if they hadn't the secure jobs as "Pirated Disc Shop Managers".

Yesterday afternoon, I went to cina sq sunday flea mart. After finishing a few rounds, Mok called to tell me that he's on his way & will be there in 30mins time...Since I'd went through all the stores, I got nothing better to do; so I sat on a bench & did some "people watchin'" while waiting for Mok's arrival. An elderly couple came shortly & sat beside me to rest their feet.

As I was still doing "human scannin'", Mrs Peter Tan (nice toyshop lady) came by to offer me some snacks that she just bought. I replied, "No, thank you." to her in mandarin & we chatted a little. After Mrs Peter Tan left, the old lady seated beside me told me that she was surprised! All along she thought I was Japanese, until I started to converse in mandarin.

It has been years since someone told me that I looked like a Japanese. Seriously, I take it as a compliment, as I've always admire Japs for their Intelligence, Discipline & Respect for their Culture...*eh...of course the Bejeans also lah...heh~*. These are the reasons why I took up Jap language course a couple of years back. Sometimes I do think will sporean be as lazy & naive if the Jap had won WWII?

Talk about WWII, I find that what the mainland chinese are doing now is kinda dumb...Protests & Demonstrations are fine, but to Boycott Jap products & harass Jap establishments in china are plain stupid!
