Fantastic Four (PG)

Rating:★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy

Another group of colourful  Marvel  Superheroes - Fantastic Four made it to the big screen (unlike its previous version which was made in the 90s...died long even before its release date...)!

Fantastic Four is a lot better than I expected. It can't live up to the level of Spiderman II or X-Men II, but it's definitely better than Elektra & Punisher! A very simple & entertaining movie, no heavy plot or screamin' kid. You should just turn off your mobile phone as well as your brain before entering the hall.

If you didn't have enough of Jessica Alba in Sin City, the Invisible Woman should be able to whet your appetite.

The casting for the characters was rather weak...

  •  Michael Chicklis as Ben Grim aka The Thing  - Acted well & looked convincingly sad but he's abit too short...
  •  Ioan Gruffudd as Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic  - A forgettable guy...He's supposed to be the leader of the pack, a genius, but lacks the charisma...
  •  Jessica Alba as Sue Storm aka Invisible Girl  or Woman (which ever you desire...) - She's Charismatic & Sexy but as a strong willed shield generating superheroine...a little off...instead she looks like a gal needed some TLC & protection...
  •  Chris Evans as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch  - Played his role well even if he's there mostly for comic relief. Especially how he likes to irritate the hell outta The Thing! His rivalry with The Thing is best relationship in the entire movie.
  •  Julian McMahon as Victor Von Doom aka Doctor Doom  - Doesn't really work because he's not evil enough. The plot also made him more like a vengeful petty rich boy than a fearsome world taking over, ambitious evil genius. Also, when did Dr Doom ever have super power...?
  •  Stan Lee as the Mail Man  - Great likeness, great line...

Overall, it's a decent movie to enjoy with friends & family. hopefully the sequel will be better now that their origin was told. *Seeya~ Silver Surfer, Super Skrull, Galactus~

Ps, Marvel Fans, please thank the Director. Some jokes were added in which only Marvel Collectors will get it.
